Main Collection:
Officials records of the General Assembly, Security
Council, Economic & Social Council, Trusteeship Council
1946 – Present. The official records of these bodies include
meeting records, annexes (documents by agenda item number
issued as an adjunct to the meeting record), supplements
(principal reports prepared for consideration at a session),
and resolutions.
A selection of UN publications on topics such as human
rights, peacekeeping, drug control, women, population,
international law, disarmament and UN Conference on Trade
& Development (UNCTAD).
Statistical references in the areas of international trade,
industrial commodities, energy, national accounts,
demographics, economic development, housing and vital
statistics.
UN Yearbooks 1946-1999 (also available on CD-ROM), UN Index
to Proceedings of the General Assembly, Security Council,
ECOSOC and Trusteeship Council (1946-2000), UN Chronicles
(1946-pres.).
UN Videos on the organization, peacekeeping, environment,
human rights, population are also available on loan.

General Information for Users:
Documents and Publications may be borrowed from the
Library through Inter-Library Loan (ILL) for a 5-day period.
Official records are public documents. A photocopier is
available in the library for those wishing to make copies at a
charge of $.15 per page.
University students both organize and participate in
national and international Model United Nations Conferences.
With this in mind, the UNIC Library tries to facilitate their
preparation by offering appointments for Model UN groups to
conduct research during non-library hours. Call or email if
you would like to schedule an appointment.
The UN does not publish information on individual Member
States. This information may be obtained through that country’s
Mission to the UN in New York or through their Embassy in
Washington.
