Deborah DeYoung, Information Officer

 

Deborah DeYoung is an Information Officer at the the UN Information Center.  She joined UNIC after a brief stint at the UN World Food Program in Nairobi. Prior to that, Deborah worked on Capitol Hill for 13 years, serving as staff on three Senate committees and in the offices of Reps. Sander Levin and Tony Hall. She traveled extensively during her tenure, focusing on humanitarian issues. 

A graduate of the University of Oregon’s School of Journalism, Deborah was a reporter at a Michigan newspaper before coming to Washington in 1989.
